Sync Opus to Android without transcoding

I wanted to sync some songs to my phone, and chose “original” audio quality. The songs are using Opus codec and ogg container (.opus), which is supported by both Android and Windows at this time. Playing it without sync (with some changes to Android.xml) works fine too.

Still Plex chooses to transcode it. To what format I don’t know. MP3 maybe?

Plese Plex, let me sync Opus audio to my Android devices without transcoding it! Opus is superior to any lossy codec when it comes to quality at a given bitrate.

+1 yes! I want direct opus play on Android

I also want direct opus play and sync on my android phone.
I would be able to reduce bitrate for my transcodes and therefore save space.
