Disable resume playback feature

Server Version#: latest
Player Version#: Android/8.0.1

Hello,
I have a question about that annoying resume playback feature. Anybody can disable that?

All videos movies start with ending credits.
All music resumes 1second before the end.(My favorite feature is plex music)

It may be a thankful feature for someone who accidentally quits the media but I have to waste time rewinding it.
This does not mean to delete that feature. However, the user must have a choice. The resume function must be made on/off.

I would like to hear your thoughts on this matter.
Regards.

For a music library you can configure if Plex should keep track of your progress. This way all songs will start playback from the start.

  1. Edit the library (hover over the library name, click ... and select Manage Library > Edit...)
  2. Switch to the Advanced tab
  3. Uncheck Store track progress

For videos there is a kind of threshold. When you pass 90% of the video duration, the movie/episode is considered ā€œwatchedā€. For such a video playback will start from the beginning the next time you start it (even if you didn’t watch it to the very end).
I’m not 100% sure if the threshold is 90% or maybe 87% or 92%… it’s something around the last 10%.
You cannot bypass this otherwise for video libraries.

Thank you very much! I immediately disabled that option.
I am testing the server now.
English version PLEX made it easy to find the problem.
In the Korean version, it was called ā€œtracking process(추적과정 ģ €ģž„)ā€, so I don’t know what the feature is doing. I’ll be back a little later.

It works as I expected. Thank you!
