Theme music is a preference, separate in every client.
A simple reply for my newbie wife would of sufficed i.e

Untick Play theme music…

It’ll depend on what client you’re using.
Usually all clients have an Experience section in their settings where you can enable/disable theme music and/or set the volume for those themes.
On iOS, you can enable/disable theme music from Settings > User Experience > Theme Music – by pulling the slider to the very left, it’ll be switched off, all other levels determine the volume of the themes (e.g. silent background vs. full-volume playback).
In Plex Web and the desktop player, this is a simple checkbox under Settings > {Plex Web|Plex for Windows|Plex for Mac} > General.

I suppose Otto’s question was aiming at your point about “the theme music issue”. I’m not sure what issue you were referring at.
