Plex is running on a TerraMaster NAS. DNLA is enabled.
Weird issue. Via a process of elimination, have found the cause seems to be Plex.
HEOS by Denon can play music from any DNLA server on the network. On my Marantz NR1609 with HEOS, it plays FLAC files and MP3/4 from Plex acting as a DNLA perfectly fine. But HEOS refuses to play WAV files served by plex - saying “Unsupported Format”. Which is probably just a useless generic error message from Denon’s programmers.
However, the HEOS platform is known to support WAV files. So, I enabled a different DNLA media sever (not Plex, a built in one from Terramaster) and served the same WAV file via DNLA, this time with Plex switched off. HEOS plays this perfectly, no errors.
I’ve tried uninstalling and completely deleting plex, including all sub folders, then re-installing. But the same issue is present.
So does anyone have any bright ideas what could be going wrong please?
