There’s actually already a suggestion asking for exactly that feature. I suggest you comment/vote in that thread in order to avoid distracting/dispersing votes and attention for this feature.

[Feature Request] Prompt that the show is in a library when scheduling it to record from the EPG

There’s nothing worse than recording the same show twice. It would be nice to have a prompt for shows that are already in the library, when trying to schedule a recording of the same show in the EPG. The prompt should say the previously recorded show has a duration of XX minutes and has a resolution of YY compared to the new show duration/resolution info… do you want to overwrite/rename/abort. The show’s graphic tile should also have a symbol indicating that a copy is already saved to a libra…

There’s on more suggestion asking for an option to start playback from the guide for items already in your library.

[Feature Request] Link Program Guide to Library

Would be good if you could link the program guide to you existing library. For example if when browsing the coming up Movies or TV Shows it shows something you may already have. Instead of having the option to record. It would be good to have the option to start it from your library. Would save accidentally recording something you already have. Especially for people who have big libraries. Or even better it would check other servers you have access to.
