Previously when mounting ACD as a fuse filesystem, latency was a rather large problem due to bandwidth limiting and country difference latencies. You can choose between ACD in America or Canada at the moment.
The way I see how Plex Cloud works, those are AWS instances that access those S3 buckets natively. Are those buckets stored in the same region as the instances?
As I understand the Amazon structure (which may be wrong so please be kind if I am), Amazon has two different ‘datacenter’ access structures. There us US/Canada (North America) and then the rest of the world. I presume those are based on some US regulation i’m not aware of.
I do know, Plex Cloud will use the datacenter appropriate to your location. There are Ninjas in all parts of the world and this is what we’re seeing.
