Hello.
Now I’m using 55" LG NANO 866 with PMS to watch 4K remuxes. It works perfectly.
I will buy 65" Sony X950H or 65" A85 OLED at Christmas.
I see a few new 4K DoVi remuxes (single layer, mkv, Framestor for example) every day. As I understand It works fine with Nvidia Shield and remux contains both DoVi and HDR10 profiles for TV’s without DV support. This is the best option for me. I download them to my collection.
I saw a few comments about wrong colors on Sony TV + Plex + DV remux in mkv.
So is that true? Or I should take a look on another TV?
I’m interesting only in mkv remuxes. I know that mp4 or ts works fine.
Before you buy any tv expecting 4K from plex, see @ [INFO] Plex, 4k, transcoding, and you - aka the rules of 4k
Thank you for your response.
I’m using Plex with 4K content now. It works perfectly with original quality (direct play).
For DTS audio I convert it to AC3 and re-pack file. So this is not a problem for me.
I just want to step up and watch DV where it’s possible.
Dts typically isn’t the issue, truehd doesn’t direct play via smart tv app.
As far as I’m aware the issue does not involve Plex or your TV.
The issue is between the Nvidia and Dolby and they are actively working on it apparently.
