Will Plex be implementing a download feature for android apps? I’m looking for something similar to the newer desktop apps instead of the current sync option. I don’t want my server converting the files to whatever is best due to storage constraints. I just want the raw file on my device / external SD instead of signing in to my Samba share and manually transferring the file.
According to the original blog post on this, Plex is considering to replace “syncing” with “downloading” in all their clients:

That being said #2… there’s also users voting to get an actual sync with the option to download an optimized version for all devices
