Downloaded playlist needed to be deleted and redownloaded when I add more to the playlist?

I created a several music playlists and downloaded the playlist to my phone for when I travel. Not expecting to have good data coverage where I am going. Thinking about this, i’m wondering as I continually build my playlist I will need to delete the download and re-download? I tried adding a song but there’s no option to sync? or download incremental? Any idea how I do this?

Plexamp has an option to Refresh downloaded items (playlists, stations…).
IIRC this will also pick up changes to the playlist – e.g. if new songs were added.
