Plexamp 3.5 Make Download Feature A Syncing Feature

When I download playlists to Plexamp 3.5, and then on the server, remove songs from the playlist, the “Refresh” feature on Plexamp does not reflect the removed/deleted files. Which means I have to delete the playlists and re-download them. It’d be nice for the refresh feature to sync the removed/deleted files.

It actually should, depending on what exactly you downloaded. Please do a refresh of the item in question and then post Plexamp logs so we can see what’s going on.

Hmmm, I did refresh various playlists, to no avail. I wasn’t aware there were logs! I’ll check that out.

The only time where we won’t add/remove items IIRC is if it’s a smart playlist without implied order, where we’re grabbing a random sample. But e.g. Fresh  and equivalent shift music and and out (keep in sync).

Hey @elan , I deleted a songs, which brought my library total to 388 (from 389). I then refreshed all playlists, and when I did, the downloaded playlist stayed at 389.

The log file shows the following (the second to the last line about not keeping in sync was interesting):
Jul 18, 2021 15:14:24.247 [Javascript] INFO - Sync: Loaded a container with 389 items.

I then refreshed my “All Music” playlist by itself and it synced to 388 files.

Yeah, this is the case I was referring to above. In order to solve, you should be able to go into library tab, and into artists/albums/tracks, and sort (upper …) by something (e.g. add date). Then tap the download icon and that should keep in sync. You can also save as a smart playlist and then download that.

Ah got it! That makes sense. I’ll utilize smart playlists. Thank you so much!

I downloaded library radio and the option to refresh is on. When will it get refreshed?
When I heard the songs, or earlier? So far it did not refresh

I’m fairly sure you have to manually refresh downloaded radios. Only playlists refresh.
