DreamPlex playback issue

Hi,

 

I have version 1.093 of DreamPlex installed on a VU+ Solo2 set top box (running an Enigma 2 BH2.0.8 image).

I noticed that DreamPlex can't play back some of my files (from Plex Server running on my PC).

The media files are H264 encoded mp4 files.

If I load the media file onto a memory stick and plug it into my set top box the stock media player can play the files no problem.

 

I get this error on the set top box -

"Your Box can't decode this video stream!

Gstreamer plugin JPEG decoder not available"

 

Any ideas?

I'm just thinking of getting VU+ Duo2. Btw. how is DreamPlex doing? Appart from the issues listed above are you happy with the performance?

I was looking for some info about the client for Enigma but could not find much.

It would be great if you could put here some information.

Dreamplex performs well. Shame I can’t play some of my files. It is odd actually, if my box can’t play it Plex server should transcoder it for me. The GUI is the best I hav
e seen. I will keep working at it as it is definitely worth having.

Hi, I've just got VU+ Duo 2, installed DreamPlex on and I think It's a real shame that it can't be used as a streaming target (can't tell it to on my tablet what to play, use it as a fully featured remote control) and also that it can't play audio :(

Is there any plan on your side Davinci to support it? I believe if DreamPlex could be used as the streaming target - just like eg. Chromecast it might simplify many things?

What do you think?

are you planning to implement DIAL protocol in as well? I think that GUI on DreamPlex is great ... but I think the best remote in the world is tablet anyway! :-)
