Nothing on the wiki or on the release post from Elan addressed if the Drobo 5N can utilize the new plexconnect for ATV. I assume the answer is no because the software is only supported on Mac/PC...
So my question is.. is there a Drobo 5N version in the pipeline?

Plexconnect is made in Python. It runs fine on a Drobo 5N (even a Drobo FS)

How do you get PC to run on a Drobo FS ? Apologies if this is a basic Q ! I don't have DroboApps installed on my FS - would I need to ?

You need to install Python in your DroboApps share. SSH helps too for debugging, and starting up the script.
You can get python from www.droboports.com
