I have been having some issues with direct stream and subtitles where often having subtitles would cause the stream to freeze and giving playback error after a while. I have noticed that one difference between direct play and direct stream is that my files are in a mkv container when i direct play but when direct stream they get put into a mp4 container.
I read about client profiles but cannot figure out where to find them on DSM7 version of plex
Anyone know how to create a custom profile for Samsung SmartTV/tizen for a DSM7 plex media server where i can ask it to transcode into mkv instaid of mp4 as i suspect the mp4 might be the root cause of the playback issues when subtitles are involved
