Duplicates of Every iTunes Track in Plex

I tried to resolve an issue with iTunes churning and churning before it finally opened. The suggested fix online was to delete the iTunes library. I did, then re-downloaded all 8,000 songs from iCloud to my PC. Now I have two of every track (song) in Plex. I’d rather not delete the library and reinstall it because the first time I imported iTunes to Plex it scrambled artists, songs and tracks into a big mess which took months to clean up. If I revert to an earlier version of Plex, would that work? Is it possible to load a previous Plex iTunes library? Any guidance is appreciated.
