@e10kstarfire Yes I’ve used both USB and PCI and it only worked when I used a special driver that I managed to get hold of from hauppauge dev department who stated the reasons why it would only work with that driver and not with the drivers that are supplied with both the USB devices and PCI cards.
This is why I know it comes down to licensing. So the only way to get around it is by using such things like tvheadend as you’ve posted.
Plex are very stricked when it comes to making sure they stick to licensing agreements and hence why we’ve not seen h.265 transcoding as yet on Plex.
@e10kstarfire As I stated, I got the drivers direct from them and not from their website. For some reason you’ve got stuck on it’s a DVB-T2 issue when it’s not.
Over the next few days I will look to see if I still have the files on my file server and if I do, then I will send you a message regarding sending the files to you so that you can see for yourself.
Sorry to resurrect an old thread but I just wanted to check something.
I am in the UK, and have Plex Server running on Windows 10, with two Hauppauge QuadHD cards.
Are you saying I should be having issues tuning UK DVB-T2 channels using Plex? Because as far as I know I’ve not had any issues. Have been running this set-up since just after Plex DVR launched (added second card Jan 2020). I’ve retuned many times since then.
Is this a new problem? I haven’t retuned for a few month, so are you saying if I do my set-up will break?
How does the issue manifest itself? Are the HD channels just not detected at all?
