If you say so, its still completely off from what the actual DVD episode ordering is and they refuse to change it no matter what proof is sent short of sending them the actual DVD's it would seem...
Also just because it hasn't been edited in a long time doesn't make it right... Season 1 is not 13 episodes long, its 23 episodes. Heck you can even check Netflix to see that if you don't have access to the DVD's.
We're really straying off topic, but I have the volume 1 DVD and it's 13 episodes, also the Fox website shows the dvd 13 episodes http://www.fox.com/shop/american-dad-volume-1-dvd/detail.php?p=52201. Where did you get 23 episodes from?
You're right, just because it's been a while doesn't make it correct, but I'm sure it was fixed while ago as it was previously all over the place. As I say, off topic so PM if you want to discuss it anymore. Maybe I can help
Fixed my Firefly as well. Thanks, guys.
(Too bad that bundle isn't in by default. It's pretty useful.)
Not sure how to get this to work... So I just drag the single .plexapp file in my Plug-Ins folder? (Windows)
I can't make this plugin work (PMS for Windows), I've installed the .bundle and the XML file in the correct locations and rebooted PMS. I changed the PMS Agent to TheTVDbDVDOrder and refreshed my TV section. After some time I checked my Futurama section and nothing had changed. I tried rebooting the PC and running another scan but Plex still displays the broadcast ordering.
Is there a log file I can check that might have error messages I can check?
any instructions on how to install this on a Mac?
I can't open the .plexapp file I downloaded, it won't open with PlexMediaServer.app.
Also tried downloading the .bundle file and putting it into the ~/Library/Application Support/Plex Media Server/Plug-ins folder, but that doesn't work either. The DVDorder agent isn't seen in the PMS settings.
thanks

I'll have to dig out my Dvd's, but I was going by Netflix. I haven't even unpacked my DVD's since I moved, but renamed all my backups based on the Netflix ordering.

I just did this on my mac.
Downloaded from [Here](https://forums.plexapp.com/index.php/topic/21141-dvd-order-agent/page-7#entry309730) , copied it to that folder
~/Library/Application Support/Plex Media Server/Plug-ins
Restarted PMS and it showed up and seemed to work

Me too, boxes everywhere.
The on demand (Netflix) orders don't usually match up to the DVD releases so I think it's quite unlikely to be the same.

Thanks furby. Initially that linked zip didn't work either, so I nuked my entire PMS setup and started from scratch. Deleted PMS, application support and caches and reinstalled a fresh version of PMS (latest free version 0.9.8.10.215)
Then I used the zip file you linked and copied it to the plug-ins folder and restarted PMS - success!
Don't know why it didn't work the first time. Now the DVD order agent works beautifully. However in the process of nuking my first PMS setup I am now running into errors with downloading incomplete artwork! A separate issue though and the metadata agent is fine.
I think I installed this plug-in properly.
So does this plug in not affect how Plex orders, displays and names the episodes? It only affects playback?
I'm trying to get this to work, but am having no luck. I am running Plex on a Windows PC.
Here is what I have done so far, maybe someone can point out what I am doing wrong:
1. Downloaded and unzipped DVDorder.bundle.zip
2. Right clicked on the Plex Media Server icon near the system clock and selected "Open Plug-ins Folder"
3. Placed DVDorder.bundle in the plugins folder.
4. Disabled capability checking
5. Restarted Plex Media Server
At that point, I was expecting my TV shows to be in DVD order, but they are not. What am I missing? Do I need to set something else? I don't think that applying this agent on a per-series basis is an option on Windows. Is that correct?

Furby's post above from November: https://forums.plexapp.com/index.php/topic/21141-dvd-order-agent/page-10#entry507847 shows a screen shot of the Media Manager which works across all platforms the same since it's just a web view to the media on your PMS.
In order to use the plug-in, you must unmatch and/or re-match the series using this different metadata agent/plugin. As I've told you before, it will NOT work by just simply installing and restarting PMS. You must explicitly make use of it for the series that need it.

Yeah, I did forget to mention this, but I don't have any other option besides matching with "TheTVDB". I do not have the "TheTVDBdvdorder" option. If I did, then I would be done.
So that is of no help to me at all.
Sounds like the plug-in isn't installed properly. Per a previous post of mine, have you tired doing as outlined in this post for Windows users? https://forums.plexapp.com/index.php/topic/21141-dvd-order-agent/page-9#entry426317
Ok, finally got this working. Thanks darcilicious. It helped getting the bundle and xml file from this post: https://forums.plexapp.com/index.php/topic/21141-dvd-order-agent/page-7#entry309730
Now if only there were a production code order... I think that makes even more sense for some TV series than DVD order.
See Dr. Katz:
TV and DVD order the same: http://thetvdb.com/index.php?tab=season&seriesid=78244&seasonid=14559&lid=7&order=dvd
Production code is different than both: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_Dr._Katz,_Professional_Therapist_episodes
I wish now that there was a production code order! Oh well, I'll just have to go rename all of the affected files. At least I got this working for some series!
Can you fix the link to the post where you got the bundles? The link you posted is for naming issues of particular series that changes title names during the course of its run. Thanks!

Whoops... Thanks for pointing that out!
Fixed.
Any tip on how to install the DVDorder.plexapp on FreeNAS?
