My issue is with theme songs. Yes, they stop working and guys here have already shown how to fix.
But at first, my Plex data folder didn’t have /PlexThemeMusic.bundle/ folder, well, it was empty until I added the TVDB dvd order plugin folder.
So in order to fix missing theme song, I googled and pasted that indicated folder there and edited init.py file according to @jooniloh code. I even marked as read-only, then restarted PMS and rematched Batman AS. Sadly, it still doesn’t work.
I checked the folder where the code file was but it wasn’t there anymore! Everytime I restart PMS and refresh the show the PlexThemeMusic.bundle plugin folder disappears.
What is going wrong?
EDIT:
Well, there goes how to fix (just needed a little extra effort to search in this very same forum.
As much as TheTVDB might be terrible to deal with, this does not need to be as bad of a user experience in plex as it is right now. I’ve only got 23 series entries and the TVDB order is offensively wrong for 3 of them, with this kind of hacking around needed to even try to get it working (when the plugin works right). This really ought to be part of the core of plex, so that it stops breaking.
I can’t get this to work, same issues as people on the previous page. Is it something I’m doing wrong or does the plugin just need updating?
I’ve tried a few different versions (including the latest one I could find) and the dialog box disappears when trying to match Batman: TAS. It doesn’t show up when I manually search for it either. Can’t figure it out.
Edit: Got it working. For anyone curious, when searching to match manually, select TheTVDBdvdorder and type the TVDB ID (Batman’s is 76168) in the “Title” field, rather than the name. That worked for me.

Thanks for the tip tlock, i also found that while it didn’t look like it was working, if I left it for a few days and then came back it seemed to have sorted itself out in the background.
im using the dvdorderbundle and all it does is change the episode names but doesnt reorder the episodes, so if i go to watch serenity which is apparently the first episode according to plex i end up watching the train job instead, i have the latest version of the plugin i could find and no matter what i do i cant get it to work properly yet it was working before i reinstalled windows
thats not how this plugin works… it doesn’t touch ur library. It just forces plex to scrap metadata for dvd order instead of airdate order. You are still responsible for having your library setup and named correctly.
Hey guys. I’m not investing much time into this right now so I might be completely off. So take what I say with a grain of salt.
I noticed that since my earlier comment about how to fix the theme music, there are actually multiple plugin folders now. One in the application data folder you choose in server settings, and several others in the resources folder within the plex install directory (in program files). The one in the app data directory seems to be for 3rd party plugins exclusively, while ONE of the several in the install directory seems to store the default agents and such. I’d expect if you’re not seeing the plex theme music bundle, you’re looking within the wrong directory.
REGARDLESS of that, the guys over at this thread seem to have found a cleaner solution, https://forums.plex.tv/discussion/comment/1113637. (Credit to @julioluiz for finding this.) As they’ve also taken the time to put everything into a github repo, I’d probably look for any future development and discussions there instead. Development in this thread has been effectively dead for MONTHS now.
Can anyone confirm that the version on the github repo is indeed the latest version from this thread? There’s a post somewhere a couple pages back with a link to the comment with the latest.
For anyone new to this issue and using Windows, I want to spell out how to use these plugins:
Get DVDOrderAgent.bundle here: https://github.com/HuggableSquare/DVDOrderAgent.bundle (use “clone or download” button).
—If you get the .zip file, there will be one superfluous containing folder. Remove “-master” from the end of the deepest “DVDOrderAgentbundle-master” folder, then copy that folder into the plugins directory. On Windows, the plugins directory is here: %LOCALAPPDATA%\Plex Media Server\Plug-ins\ (as explained here)
Get PlexThemeMusic.bundle here: https://github.com/HuggableSquare/PlexThemeMusic.bundle (again, use “clone or download” button).
—This zip file also includes a superfluous containing folder, and you must remove “-master” from the unzipped folder, then rename the folder (per Dbent’s comment in this thread) to something like PlexThemeMusicDVDOrder.bundle. Install it in the same plugins directory as before.
Restart Plex Media Server: “exit” using system tray icon, then run application again
Navigate to the show you want to fix. Use the … menu on the left side to select “fix incorrect match.”
Do not use auto-match. It just fails silently. (It looks like it should work, because you can select TVDBdvdorder from the drop-down, but that is misleading.)
Instead, click Search Options. In the dialog box you get, set “Agent” to TVDBDVDorder, and set Show Name to the TVDB show number (per tlockyer above). Then hit “search.” This worked for me.
It looks like either S03E01 or S00E01 would work. But either way The Man From Jupiter would have to be S03E04.
I finally got around to setting up my new server and I found that since installing 1.0 that I need to unmatch, then match using TVDBDVDOrder. Previously I had been able to just Fix Incorrect Match but when I try that now I just get no results back.
However I would really like to see this added permanently. Oddly enough I couldn’t find a feature request for this so I created one, please take the time to go over and like the post (hopefully we can get this added into plex).
Thank you. This helped me get Supergirl in the correct order. It’s by default out of order because episode 4 was delayed by a week (due to real world events) and episode 5 aired in it’s place. Using this plugin fixed the issue.
Hey all, I’m running the latest PMS installation (from Plex website, 1.0-something) on a Synology DS416play. Having problems with getting “The Scooby-Doo Show” (yes, I’m still a kid at heart) to show up with episodes in the DVD order. I downloaded the DVD Order Agent bundle from GitHub and installed it into the appropriate folder so I see the option for TheTVdbdvdorder as a search option, but have tried both first unmatching then Fix Incorrect Match as well as just Fix Incorrect Match. It seems to find the show, but the original broadcast date pulls in where the title label should be, with no artwork and no descriptions (the thumbnails appear to be generated randomly by Plex). The data on TheTVDB website seems complete and correct just like the aired version (which at least pulls complete artwork and descriptions, just the wrong info).
Sorry if this isn’t the best place to ask but I’ve been reading past posts on this issue and am wondering if maybe the latest version of Plex broke DVD Order Agent?

I can confirm I have the agent running on 1.0.3. Are you manual matching or auto matching? As mentioned before auto matching seems to fail without notification. Are your files named correctly for the DVD order, and by plex naming standards?
