Maybe you are within the season view? You have to be in the series view where you can see all seasons listed. Then go to edit and here you should see the “advanced” button.
I hope I have described it good enough (I use the german PMS and I don’t know if the translation is correct enough).
For the life of me I can’t find the Advanced option to edit this in a TV series (Cowboy Bebop has this problem in a big way). I’m using the Cloud Server beta, would that have something to do with it?

Cloud Server is
- a completely independent development
- still not finished
- has a version number < 1.50, which is necessary to use this feature
