DVR Audio out of Sync - How do I fix?

Over the last few weeks I’ve noticed more and more of my DVR recordings getting out of sync. The audio skips ahead of the video and seems to get worse as the recording goes on. On a recent 30-minute recording the audio was ahead by almost two minutes. The video playback indicated that there was two minutes left but it stopped once the audio portion was done.

The problem persists when I stop and restart playback of the recording. It’s also remains when I choose a different audio stream. It could be my imagination but it sounds like the audio is being compressed to remove any gaps without sound.

I’m running the latest PMS inside a jail on a FreeNAS 9.10 box with drives in RAID, plenty of CPU power, RAM and dual gigabit NICs. I have a HDHR Prime with CableCard and I believe that only one program is being recorded at a time. I have nothing running in Post Prossesing and there is no option for commercial skip that I’m aware of for PMS on FreeBSD.

Any thoughts?

markbean…et.al,

Having the same issue with DVR recordings. I can play transcoded/ripped content just fine with no issues.
However, if I record something via DVR…it usually plays about 15 minutes then the video and audio goes out of sync and a few minutes later the playback will error out.

Have mostly the same setup…although everything is running the latest version of Plexpass, Plex, FreeNAS and the firmware on the HDConnect Quatro is fully updated. Play back client does not matter (Firestick, Firecube, Roku, iPad, PC) all have the same issue.

Anyone have any thoughts on this issue?
