DVR functionality broken

Since the latest build I have been seeing the following error quite regularly in my web browser:

There was an unexpected error

Version 1.15.1.710

The typical scenario is I go to “Live TV & DVR” and then I change the drop-down from “Channels” to “Movies”. A bunch of black icons will briefly flash, and then I will be redirected to this error. It makes it extremely difficult to browse through upcoming broadcasts and decide what to record.

Last time it was a different category other than “Movies”, and “Movies” worked fine. But it seems like there is always some view that is not working with this new build.

I decided maybe it is time to try a clean install. Uninstall, and reinstall, it instantly restored all my settings and database and had the same errors. So I delete the folder. Uninstall, and reinstall. Still found all my settings. However, it would not allow me to add media folders at all. There was always an error saving my settings.

Uninstall. Remove registry setting. Remove folder. Reboot. Reinstall:

A problem has been detected with a core component of Plex Media Server.

Please visit the forums and provide your logs, as described here.

The instructions for providing log files are useless since it still stuck on the server setup page.

Plex Media Server Logs_2019-02-28_12-34-43.zip (42.4 KB)

Looks like going back to the main URL allows me to leave the server setup page and provide the logs.

I discovered a post about the server not installing when you are configured to use a proxy. I disabled the proxy, and I was able to do a clean install and configure folders.

The TV Schedule is rebuilding. I’ll see if the same problem returns or if the fresh install resolves the issue.

Back to the original problem. I open up movies and I get “An unexpected error occurred”. I notice the error occurs in the live view when I scroll movies to the two day mark. And if I view the tv schedule, when I get to two days it reverts back to the start.

So likely there is something two days in the future that crashes the view.

If I change the icon sizes on the News page, I then have a slight delay on the Movies page. So this tells me it has something to do with rendering one of the movie posters icons. Once the error happens though, the error will happen almost instantly again when returning to the movie page.

Refreshing the data does no good in clearing the error, and the logs don’t change it. This only happens in my web browser. I was able to see the complete list and edit my recording schedule on my phone.
