Agreed that the ability to reorder channels (particularly for UK freeview users) is essential.

And, yes, my EPG data is compeltely broken (despite deleting and setting up my DVR several times in recent week).

So that the contribution is not closed and I also miss this function of channel sorting, I join this conversation.

Every cheap cable or satellite receiver supports the function of individual channel order, and if it is only via favorites.

Why canā€™t a software like Plex do that? Because, as sorry as I am and Plex canā€™t handle this, I also donā€™t see any possibility to cut the cord and switch completely from the conventional receiver to Plex and HD HomeRun Expand.

Thereā€™s already something very similar being requested with 125 votes. Itā€™s not specific to a certain TV provider or country itā€™s more of a general for everyone!

Maybe you can still get what you want. If you run the source through xteve, you can remap and change many of the channel features, then plex would take it from this updated source. xteve takes an m3u or tuner, and an epg source, the user would map and arrange as needed and you are left with a guide that you have complete control over. I havenā€™t done it yet but I think this will allow combining of IPTV, local OTA and cable tuner channels into a single guide. Last that knew you can only have 1 type of tuner at any time on a plex server, so itā€™s a nice extra.

I use xTeVe and it does allow for you to manage the channels order successfully. It still would be nice to have this function native in the app
