Would love the option to rename channels in Live TV. Also the ability to reorder with a drag and drop method, or possibly change the channel number.
Also, it has been mentioned in a different post - but as we can have multiple tuners, it would be great if we could have multiple EPG sources!

Definite vote for favorite channels. My old Windows Media Center let me define different guide lists that only displayed selected channels, which is one feature Iām missing with Plex. When I want to watch live TV, I have to scroll past the first several hundred SD channels (that I never watch) to get to the HD channels. And even then, thereās a good number of HD channels I rarely watch that would be nice to filter out of the guide when I donāt want to see them.
Yep, this is a bit of a dealbreaker for me, I spent way too much time scrolling. Iām not sure thereās even a āpage downā binding.
Iāve added an IPTV provider as a DVR which would make this feature an absolute godsend vs scrolling for days through hundreds of channelsā¦
Iām surprised we canāt re-order channels. Definitely a yes from me - otherwise the ability to use alternative EPR guides maybe?
If I click on the ānnn enabledā for each of my tuners:
I can then check and uncheck boxes to the left of each channel that I do, or do not want to see in the guide:
I wish there were a way to export/save from one tuner and then import/open to my 2nd tuner. Or export to a spreadsheet where I can manage and make changes, then import that XLSX and/or CSV fileā¦

I want a proper channel list based on my preferences. My primary reason to use Plex is Live-TV transcoding.
My main reason for being a Plex Pass member was for LiveTV. But the lack of simple features has me looking elsewhere nowā¦
Same here, using emby for live tv.
Is there any plans of implementing this? Iām almost 100% sure I wonāt get a response from Plex lol. Emby has a serious issue with their transcode throttle. When someoneās watching a movie it causes live TV channels to distort. Itās kind of like an off-and-on throttle not a smooth throttle like Plex has. So Iād like to start using Plex as an all-in-one solution but this TV Guide is really killing me. Was hoping this beta update with change something but all it did was change Gracenote to now powered by Plex:(.

Ability to change channel order on the server side
Ability to set Channel favorites on the user side
Plex has had HUGE improvements over the past couple months. Been pretty successful in having Plex employees respond which has been great. New improvements on the user interface, stability and customization has caused me to move back to Plex. Just waiting on the favorite channels option as I still have too many channels to scroll through! Wanted to keep this thread alive and hope to build enough support for Plex to implement a favorite channels filter. This should be alot easier now since Plex actually has their own TV Guide data!
Couldnāt agree more, this is a must have feature, especially for easily accessing HD channels in UK.
As other people have mentioned, Live TV is the main reason Iām paying for PlexPass, and I would hope Plex would recognise the needs of their paying customers.

Since an Plex AppleTV update the channels are sorted by alphabet, but i would like to sort them myself. Now the channels are in a very strange order. Lack of reordering is very frustrating
