I have my HDHomeRun Extend setup with Plex and I set it up to record some shows just to verify everything is working. The shows all record, but the problem is the start of the shows is always missed. I have tried changing the “Minutes Before Start” from 0 to 3, 5 and 8 and it doesn’t seem to change anything. I am running Plex version 1.5.7.4016 on Windows and 1.7.4.4017 on a Mac and they both have the same results. Has anyone else has this problem?
DId you change “Minutes Before Start” for the particular recording/show or only on the DVR Settings page? The settings on the settings page only apply to new recordings you setup after that point.
Also, DOUBLE CHECK that your computer time and date is correct to the minute.

Yes, as I stated in the original post I tried 3, 5 and 8 minutes.

The time on both computers is correct.

Yep, I got that. Just re-read what I wrote as there is multiple places where you can set this.
It is set in both places.
When the time settings work the recording that shows in Recording Schedule shows the exact time the recording will start. So when there is a show scheduled for 6pm to 6:30pm and I’ve put 10 minutes at the start and 10 minutes at the end it will show in Recording Schedule as recording from 5:50pm to 6:40pm. What is yours showing in Recording Schedule?
