DVR recordings with stutter / degradation (possible Mac Mini issue?)

I have been experiencing short interruptions in DVR recordings for some time now, image pauses or freezes for a split second, audio skips slightly and very quickly catches up again.

It happens on every recording, at least once if not more and is more frequent and noticeable when from an HD channel.

I am in the UK and use HDHomerun tuners on PMS v1.9.2.4285.

My notes so far are that this has been happening since I started using Plex DVR at least as far back as v1.6.

I have 2 Mac Mini’s and 2 PC’s, however, it only seems to happen on the Mac minis (2012 server i7 version) these are for the sole purpose of running PMS

These are in 2 separate households, so different part of the country, equipment etc etc

Watching the live channels through other software is rock solid, for hours on end and no issue, no degradation in signal strength, dropouts, stutter etc and the PC recordings are all fine, so this leads me to believe there is a possible issue with the Mac minis and Plex DVR

I tried a test today so that I could capture the logs and the recording to use as an example here.

I estimate the “stutter” happened at approx 15:03:30 and the log looks OK (log shows a few minutes before and after this time), same on the HDHR log - no issues or drop out, the recording completes as it should and everything else appears fine.

I also attach a clip of the recording approx 12 secs in

Does anyone else have this problem or can offer any advice?

I have the same symptoms but on the Nvidia Shield player. Live TV is a bit jumpy too, but if I pause for a few seconds then play, it smooths out. I am using a Windows Plex Server to see if it is the Shield server not up to the job.

There is another thread about Live and DVR having problems in the UK. Plex said they are working on it, but no answers for months.
