I’ve been getting a lot of shows that I schedule for a recording, the log files show that it is starting, and in the interface it shows that the show was recorded… but no file exists…
It seems to happen most when I am not recording a series, but an individual show… although it has happened on series recordings…
I’m having the same issues. It shows up fine on live tv and records but at the end of the show, it can’t be found anywhere! It only happens to specific shows (like Seinfeld, Law & Order) but not to other shows (set up the same way).
What are your retention settings for these recordings? If you have any deletion after viewing settings, or keep settings, Plex can be removing the recordings after successful completions based on those rulesets.
I think I might have figured this one out… in getting the log files, I took a look through, and found that when it was trying to create the directory, the permissions weren’t set right and it failed… my “TV Shows” dir doesn’t have write permissions correctly on it…
However, this just started happening… I am using a Synology Diskstation DS213j using an NFS mount to my Ubuntu server running Plex… every other directory seems to be working right, but two of them have the wrong permissions on them… and it must be from the Synology end, since I can’t change the perms on the mount from the Ubuntu end…
Anyone have any thoughts on this… maybe someone who is using a similar setup…?
I may have a similar issue. I found a permission denied on my logs. My files show that they 00 minutes, tho. The recording shows that it starts on time then stops as it should and nothing in between. I have commercial removal enabled, do you? This is the second day that it has happened. I have another show an hour and a half later on the same channel that is fine.
I hate to admit it, but it turned out for me that I had both tv’s in my house running off of the HDHomerun… thus locking up the tuners… once I turned them off, everything worked…
