Currently, Plex downloads a TV guide, and any scheduled recording is simply “start on this channel, at this time, for this long”. If any guide changes happen between the last update and recording, then the recording is incorrect.
The YouView box ( https://www.youview.com/ ) somehow manages to have a live guide, which responds to broadcasters changes - so for example if a sports broadcast runs over, it carries on recording, if the TV schedule changes - then the changes are reflected instantly.
It would be great if Plex could do the same
