I just wanted to let you know that a new Alexa skill, Ear Wax, is coming soon. It will play your music stored in your Plex library and stream it to your Alexa enabled speaker.

How’s it working for you so far? With the Plex Alexa skill being killed off today (mine stopped working already), I’m looking into ways to recreate the ability to play playlists from my Plex via Alexa.

I have moved onto the emby platform

I have developed an Alexa skill, Ear Wax, that works with both, plex and emby.

So I am happy.

i am interested. I have thousands of music files, mostly in FLAC format on my PC, that are available in my Plex library.

I then use Alexa (and Plex) to play these on my JBL Authentics speakers around the house (inside/outside).
