I installed rasplex on an old 2gb microSD to get started, now i have gotten hold of a high speed 16gb card and would like to move to the new card without having to set things up again.
What is the easiest way to accomplish that? A direct copy will leave me with a 2gb partition on the 16gb card i assume.

There is no reason to use a bigger card, 2gb is fine, although it should be a class 10 card, if it is and Rasplex is working OK then don’t bother, the only thing written to the card are images for artwork to improve speed on the original RPi, everything else is streamed from the server and never touches the card.
If you are using 0.7.0 and really want to move to another card, save the guisettings.xml file to your PC, flash your new card, once booted, skip the first run wizard then copy the guisettings.xml file back.
The 2gb card did not have a class indication on it, so i thought it would be better to upgrade it. And when upgrading the price difference was too small not to choose the larger card. So i guess i should have said upgrading to faster card instead The new card is Class 10/UHS-I though i dont know if the rasberry supports UHS.
I dont think guisettings.xml is enough, i also changed configit.txt on the boot partition (i was getting horrible black levels, probably because my surround receiver was messing with the EDID, so i had to manually set it to YCbCr). Will guisettings have things like autoframerate etc included?
As far as I’m aware the UHS-1 card should be OK, most RPi sellers seem to sell their ‘NOOBs’ card using these cards.
Not a problem, put the existing card in your PC and copy the config.txt to the PC, install Rasplex on new card and before removing from your PC just copy the config.txt back.
Yes, all settings within Preferences are saved in guisettings.xml.
Okay, i just though the configit.txt file was on a separate partition. Anyway, i measured the new card and compared to some numbers provided by other rasplex users, and found its stats not that impressive (apparently random write is important, and while it was okay, it was not that impressive), so the new card found usage in a mobile phone instead, and ill buy a new one if there is a good deal at some point
