Email from Plex asking for money to buy more bandwidth

Thanks everyone for the quick responses, I found out what it was.
Thanks Again

sounds like scam/spam/phishing

If you use a web mail, I’d use report spam/phishing (ie from gmail etc)

otherwise, be sure not to click any links or images in the email

I figured out what it was

Their accounts removed from what? Plex doesn’t run any servers, and if they did, I sure as heck hope they would be bigger than 120TB, LOL! Don’t know who that monkey guy is, but I suspect a paid-for plex server that is unrelated to the plex company.

Are you seriously asking if this mail was sent by Plex?

Or someone has shared a server with him and is collecting “Maintenance” fees.

@Luckydog_1 That email is not from us. If someone is charging you to access their server it is against our terms of service.

I just found out that’s what it’s for.
Thanks for the quick replies.

Unless it had nothing to do with Plex (like a scam targetting your ISP, not Plex users), sharing the details with other Plex users would help stamp out this “scam”.
