Embedded subtitles (SRT) not displaying - Android TV

Client version: 8.22.0.27533

I’m having an issue with embedded SRT subtitles not displaying on my Shield… I see a lot of posts related to ASS subtitles on Android not playing nicely, but not seeing any related to SRT.

I am not sure why this isn’t working, I am fairly certain it has worked before, but I can’t be 100% positive on that.

The subtitles are working when using other clients, such as app.plex.tv.

Here are server & client logs displaying the issue, when attempting to play Dune(2021) - there should be a subtitle right in the first 10 seconds, but it does not display.

Found the bug on this one. Even though my server/account settings are set to auto-enable forced subtitles for non-English parts (and the Android app does select the appropriate subtitle track automatically) - I need to actually go into the subtitle selection screen and choose “None” and then choose the “English Forced” track and then the subtitles are actually displayed.
