Empty content rating filter

So I am a little OCD with stuff like this.

I build a VM to make a new Plex database for testing. I can confirm once the Collections tab appears it will not disappear once all collections have been deleted. You have to delete the entire library to do this.

I spent a good few hours deleting all the single movie collections. This took it down to under 300 which is far more manageable that before. I will just go through and add to the empty and correct.

Do you use gb/12 or GB/12? Does it make a difference to how the content rating is handled so stop the kids accidentally watching a movie that will scare the crap out of them?

I think that might be the one thing Emby has on Plex is the total control over all artwork and metadata.

As a country code, I think it is the lower-case variety before the slash. But things lke “U” or “PG” are upper-case.

If you have deleted all collections in a Library, the Collections tab will disappear the next time you fully refresh (log out, back in) the Plex Web app.

(The opposite is true when you first create a Collection - the tab doesn’t appear immediately either.)

Nah didn’t work that way matey. I built a single library of 10 movies. Added collection setting and it appeared after a scan. Removed collections, done full scan and the tab remained there empty.

Edit: Powered off VM, full restart and scan and still a collections tab that is empty.

This has been the case with the Collections (and Playlists) tabs for a long time. I can reproduce it easily.

Library with no Collections == no Collection Tab visible
Add a movie to a Collection → no Collection Tab visible
Refresh page in Browser → Collection tab visible
Delete all Collections → Collection tab visible, empty
Refresh page in Browser → no Collection Tab visible

I’m out with dog the now. Will try that step by step later but seems very alike what I’ve done and it did not remove the tab.

Will let you know how I get on.

So I tried multiple times and the collections tab would not go away even when Empty. The VM test was isolated from the main server. I made a new server that I linked to my Plex Pass ID. Suddenly it worked like you said. I’ve had the same Plex install for years just updating it. There could be some corruption on it maybe. Might be time for a rebuild.

Thanks for all your help btw.
