Upgraded episode files often result in a combo of duplicate/missing files: some missing/old file(s), and a duplicate/new file. If I had replaced all episodes at once, I could blanket “empty trash” on the entire TV library to remove these duplicates.
If I’ve deleted my files to then replace with upgraded files, some files will be missing completely/temporarily, while others’ replacements are ready and available in the library. I don’t want to empty my library trash, as this would result in lost metadata for all shows that haven’t been replaced yet.
I wish there were a way to only empty trash for one TV show at a time (those which are done upgrading), so I don’t lose metadata on other missing shows (and I don’t have to manually remove the missing duplicates, one episode at a time).
