Hola, for some reason empty trash is leaving a single tv episode, it has the icon on it showing its in the trash but emptying the trash doesnt do anything with it. Emptying the trash still works fine for everything else its just this one thing that is stuck, any idears?
Have you tried “Clean bundles” as well as empty trash? I am not sure exactly how that could cause what you are seeing but…
Was this episode in a folder that Plex points to that is now empty?
D:\TV Shows <- Plex points here
D:\TV Shows\Some Show Name <- deleted
D:\TV Shows\Some Show Name\Season 01\ <- deleted
D:\TV Shows\Some Show Name\Season 01\Some Show Name - S01E01.mkv <- deleted
So D:\TV Shows is not empty. Or if you deleted D:\TV Shows too. Plex will treat this as if the drive is unavailable and will not modify the contents. Just add back a file, any file, then Plex will not think the drive is missing and will remove the episode.
Okay so I cant find the episode causing the issue, the trash icon appears on the whole show but doesnt appear inside any of the seasons or on an individual episode, i remember it started with an episode in season 3 and i checked the paths on the episodes and everything seems correct and exists, any idears?
Hit the edit button for a season, then the info button. This will list every file associated with that season. Maybe there is a file that was merged with another episode causing this.
The files are reading normal and are all listed in sequence. Maybe the server is judging me because its a CW show
Well, the final step would be to do the Plex dance for the whole show. That should take care of it.
The only way I was able to fix it was to move all the episodes to a new temporary folder, empty the trash, then move them back. This resolved the issue.
Those are steps in the Plex Dance. In case you (or anyone else) doesn’t understand what the Plex Dance is, https://forums.plex.tv/discussion/comment/908454/#Comment_908454.
