The trash doesn’t seem to be emptying since the last two updates which is making it impossible to watch any to shows which have had any episodes updated with better quality.
Anyone else run into the same issue? A quick fix would be to rollback a couple of iterations, but obviously I’d rather stay with the latest version.
I was running the latest Plex Pass version of Plex Server on Windows Server 2012. I’ve tried rolling back a couple of Plex iterations but so far I’ve had no joy with a fix.
@OttoKerner Thanks for the info. I’ll take a look, but that might be a bit outside my skill set. Makes me wonder what may have caused the potential errors in the first place. I can’t face a fresh install, over 1000 TV series and around 6000 Movies…euurrrghhhh!!
Seem to have found a fix of sorts. Create a duplicate of the problem section with different name, once it is complete and updated, delete the problem section and amend the name of the new section to match the old. So far it has cured the problem, the only proviso is that you have to do this for each problem section in turn but it’s at least a fairly straight forward solution.
@teshiburu so far the above fix has worked for me. If you create a duplicate before deleting the old section it should also retain your watched status.
By section i assume you mean library, like movies or tv shows?
If thats the case, that is one hell of a work around, does it work permanently, or do you have to do it all over again the next time something updates?
@teshiburu Yes, by library. I have mine split up into quite a few but it didn’t take anywhere near as long as I thought. So far any sections I’ve duplicated have remained fixed and retained their correct functionality.
@Gdr56 this does not work, we can view info and hit the “delete” icon thats presented, next to each file but the ones that no long exist dont get auto removed even though plex knows it isnt there!
@Deano316 - this has since stopped working for me again!
Looking at your path, Try and move “FEUD” to some where else outside that library “TV series”. Then delete the total series in your library if still there. Then update library and re add Feud back to Tv series in your storage. Refresh and you should only have one copy.
It is a very odd issue indeed!! Initially i thought it was content on my stablebit drive, but it isnt limited to just stablebit! I wonder if it is just windows servers? havent seen clarification from the other posts.
Happens with Movies and TV series, plex knows they arent there but wont clear them
The above image is after a update library, and “empty trash” is enabled in the settings
