Like many others here everything I have is in FLAC format for original quality at home, but I donāt need that quality on the mobile.
The music audio quality option in settings on Android has no affect.
2018, I canāt believe this has still not be addressed. Plex is unusable on the go sincd FLACs eat through the data plan in a matter of minutes.
Want to add my voice to the chorus. Please add support for audio transcoding!
@āMovieFan.Plexā @antoniolg Can you guys please acknowledge that this is a bug and that no transcoding happens even if the max bitrate setting is set in the app? Itās killing our data plans.

I tested again the other day and I am still experiencing the issue. I am on the latest Plex Pass PMS and Android clientā¦

I hope it can be fixed soon! I use Plex mostly for music so this is kind of necessary hehe :s
There hasnāt been any update on this since May 8th, it still seems to be an issue, is that tracked somewhere with a potential target version where this bug would be fixed?
Seems like it has been fixed in the latest Android App update with the new player, thanks so much! Finally can stream my music!
