When accessing the PLEX Player interface on any system there seems to be a limitation in regards to content and scroll/display.
Example, I have separated my movie library into alphabetic order. Example Folder for (A, B, C, D, etc) that contain movies beginning with that letter.
The problem is I can have over 200 movies to display in one folder and PLEX only displays 2 rows of movies. This can become tedious scrolling across just to see the last listed movies in alphabetic order as each row will have over 100, in this case. In some cases it will be more.
Please add the capability to add more rows so the scroll is both horizontal and vertical based on a specific Row number value, say 25.
So in a folder that contains 200 movies there will be 8 rows of 25 movies, in alphabetic order.
This will reduce scroll time and ease localization based on alphabetic organization.
hmm… what particular client / interface are you talking about?
the clients I have in mind (e.g. Plex Web, Android TV, iOS, Apple TV) show you a certain number of posters next to each other and then continue with posters line-by-line until all your content is displayed.
It sounds like he is describing the Roku interface. But maybe not as I do know all the various interfaces.
I understand that it is possible that the interface is currently undergoing a full rewrite based on the abilities of Roku’s new SDK.
Hopefully it will get better instead of worse but that did not really happen in the last rewrite so we will just have to wait and see what grows from the primordial ooze this time.
There is no news about what or when the “new” interface will be.
Yes. ROKU and Smart TV (Samsung if that matters).
Both list out only 2 rows of data instead of limiting rows to a certain value and allowing for vertical scroll as well.
