Hello. I encountered a problem. There are downloaded channels from YouTube. I uploaded them to the Plex library, Plex TV Series Scanner, Plex Personal Media Agent. I disabled thumbnail creation, and everything else is disabled except for “Enable voice activity detection”. Thumbnails - covers for videos are created in a file, via yt-dlp. When creating, everything works correctly. I loaded them for some time, scanned the library. After some time, maybe two or three weeks passed, I noticed that the thumbnails for the videos in the library completely disappeared. In the video itself, in the posters, these thumbnails are there, but for some unknown reason, plex media server removes them from the library, leaving the files completely naked, with a black picture. This is an awesome bug. If I’m wrong, tell me where I made a mistake in the settings. And how can I return the thumbnails to the video back? I do not suggest changing them manually in the videos themselves, there are a lot of these videos. Also, don’t suggest deleting the library and creating it again, you’ll have to manually create posters for the channels, and the glitch with the disappearance of thumbnails will never go away.
The logic of Plex is completely unclear. On some channels, thumbnails were left, then deleted from others. In the vast majority of videos, thumbnails were deleted, although during early scans, all thumbnails were in place. The videos themselves have thumbnails, and they can be added manually. I ask the developers to pay attention to this bug.
