I don’t know if it’s actually related to the latest version I have (v1.12.3.4973), but it’s only happened now. I have a single episode of a show which just won’t update it’s viewed status. It permanently thinks I’m half way through the episode. Watching it to the end, manually marking it as watched or unwatched, all have no effect. Every time I refresh the Plex home page it just thinks it’s On Deck and half way through the episode again.
Ok, so fixed that problem - after giving up, having tried what I thought was everything, I noticed the status icon for the server showed it had a running session. Turned out it wouldn’t update the episode status as it wrongly thought the video was still playing (although presumably paused as it has been stuck half way through for days) on one of my PCs. The video wasn’t playing, but telling the server to end it anyway, resolved the issue. Might be a different issue that it had a ‘stuck’ playback session, but at least those are resolvable.
