Randomly, every night, I get the “Cannot continue playback because the connection to the server has been lost”. Happens anywhere from 1600-2100. I have checked the server to see if there is anything out of the ordinary happening on the server at that time. I have checked task scheduler, services etc… I can’t find anything. Maybe someone can take a look at the log files and let me know what they see? Last night it happened between 1600 and 1630 hours. This server has been running perfect for over a year since I rebuilt it and now all of a sudden it’s doing this almost every night.
What happens when I get the error is that it kills the player connection no matter where it is (local on the LAN or remote). But when I go in to the server, the application is still showing that it is running. I have to shut it down completely (even using task manager to kill all the processes) before I restart the application and then everything is fine the rest of the night. The fact that it just randomly happens is what is stumping me. If it was at the exact same time every night, I could pin point it, but this is just bizarre.
