Plex server running on Synology NAS. When I switch to Folders view in Desktop Web (windows 10) for Movies Library, folder view doesn’t switch and stays in Movies mode. Navigation bar shows Folders. Doesn’t happen with Show or Other Videos. I see the following errors every time I attempt to switch to folders view.
Your log output seems to be unrelated to the behavior you describe. This “error” has been around for some time and Plex have already commented on it (“ignore, no issue!”) – from what I remember it’s supposed to go away.
With what Plex client do you experience those issues with displaying the library content by its folders?
Hi Tom, I have searched this error and didn’t see anything that was related to my case. However, every time I tried to switch to folder view in Movies, I will see a new error written (10 times) to log. Anyway, I am not able to switch to “folders” view in any client (Windows, Apple TV and Android) and so I am thinking it could be related to my setup and/or permission. I have no issue with scanning etc. Folder view works fine in Shows and Other Videos. In Movies, the navigation would change to folders but shows movie view.
Apparently I needed to add the higher level of folder which contains the subfolders. I added subfolders to library which resulted in an aggregation of movies without a folder structure. It works now as intended.
