Using Linux Mint 19
I recently needed to blow away my database and start fresh because NOTHING I tried would fix the duplicate library problem. I won’t go into details about all of that.
I didn’t want to lose everyone’s ‘watched status’ (I have about 30 friends attached to my Plex server) so I was pointed to this article to backup/restore this data:
So after trashing my Plex install and starting with a brand new database, I went it and re-share my libraries to all my friends and then I stopped the Plex service.
I took my settings.sql file and tried importing it per the instructions in that article and got these errors:
Error: near line 2319: UNIQUE constraint failed: metadata_item_settings.id
Error: near line 2320: UNIQUE constraint failed: metadata_item_settings.id
Error: near line 2321: UNIQUE constraint failed: metadata_item_settings.id
Where did I go wrong?
PS It would be SUPER NICE if the Plex engineers gave us a user friendly “Export watch status/Import Watch status” option in the server console.
