An update here. iOS Plex player works fine as well as Apple TV. This only happens when I either request my Mac to stream it, or the Samsung TV. This is 4K content and normally all my media uses Direct play for 4k content, but not in this case:

OK I have now narrowed this down to a Mac only issue. I have installed plex on parallels with ubuntu and it works perfectly. Any ideas here?

OK… just installed plex for Mac on my Intel MacBook Pro and it works fine. This is specifically the build for the M1 Apple Silicon I think.

Forgot to mention. Running iOS 12 Public Beta
