"Error while fetching server details"

Looking for a follow up to this topic since it was closed and currently encountering this issue. Thanks!

That error can happen if you’ve exceeded the 100 user limit on how many shares you can have. Is this the case?

I currently have 100+ friends with access to the libraries and roughly 50 pending invites waiting to be accepted. Is there a limit to how many users can access your libraries? I am currently subscribed to the Lifetime Plex Pass.

There is a limit of 100 users. Not sure how you managed to send invites to more than that. Maybe some sort of glitch. You should have seen this issue when you hit 100 invites, pending or accepted.

The limit is the same with or without a Plex Pass.

I did run into the “Error while…” notification a couple times while inviting people to access our library. I ended up just trying the next day, and noticed that it would go through.

Is there anything you can recommend I can do to have 100+ users? I researched online for solutions; possibly setting up a second server to point to the same source? Others have suggested that reaching out to Plex to increase the users for businesses/corporations and schools has worked in the past. Would these be viable options? Any advice or suggestions would be appreciated. Thanks.

The limit is on your account so setting up another server won’t help. You can reach out to the billing department through Contact | Plex to ask for an increase. There is no guarantee you will be granted.
