Today I looked in the Server Logs and found lots of the following errors. What do they mean?
WARN - [Req#1042c0] Missing X-Plex-Container-Size header. This will fail with status code 400 in the future.
...
ERROR - [Req#1043cb] Unknown metadata type: folder
The warning is just that… a warning about a featurn interaction from an app that will no longer be supported in a future version of PMS. Could be if you’re using some third party or legacy app… iirc Plex doesn’t distinguish and had also shown such warnings for their own apps… usually the Plex apps will be updated at some point to replace such deprecated functions and remain compatible.
The error has been discussed a number of times over the years and Plex have stated that there’s no deeper meaning (it’s more or less the scanner muttering as it’s processing your files and folders)… just ignore it.
