Exclude playlist from taste profile

I listen to a number of instrumental playlists with a wide range of artists and albums. I would prefer for music from these playlists to not appear in any algorithm style content (your top albums, songs, artists etc). Major music streaming services have this ability and it’s a feature I would love to see in plexamp.

Thanks for the suggestion. It’s the kind of measure I shouldn’t have to take, but it’s a good short-term fix.

I consider that’s significantly easier than maintaining a „blacklist playlist“ (possibly more than one) to be excluded from certain playback modes (radios/mixes/shuffle). But that’s just my personal 2 cents and should not diminish your suggestion.

That being said … there’s already an existing suggestion asking for an option to exclude specific songs, albums (or other items) from such shuffle modes. Please comment/vote in that thread in order to help us avoid distracting or cannibalizing votes.
Unless I’m missing some unique aspect of your suggestion I’ll close this thread as a duplicate.

Ability to exclude media items from shuffle modes

Now that Christmas is behind us, I’m seriously regretting adding almost 200 Christmas-themed songs to my Plex library as they’re now interspersed into things like Library Radio and music library shuffle. In iTunes, you have the ability to exclude individual songs from shuffle by ticking a “Skip when shuffling” option on a track.
