I would like to know if there is way to exlude some words when scanner try to match movies ?
For example :
File name : Transcendance (2014) [1080p] MULTi VFF BluRay x264-PopHD.mkv can’t match a movie, so I would like to exclude the year, the quality, language etc …
I don’t know if my request is clear (my english is really not perfect).
Konichiwa / Hi, The naming convention for your file is bad for default scanner, while it would have no issue with “Transcendance (2014).mkv” or “Transcendance (2014) [1080p MULTi VFF BluRay x264-PopHD].mkv”
i have done exactly what you want in my series scanner [github.com/ZeroQI/Absolute-Series-Scanner/blob/master/Scanners/Series/Absolute%20Series%20Scanner.py] so it can be done for a movie scanner, but i believe nobody did it yet.
Check here for a custom movie scanner: https://forums.plex.tv/discussion/53368/custom-plex-scanners and Edit it directly (written in python) to include my scanner sorting string and arrays (FILTER_CHARS, whack_pre_clean, whack) and “clean_string” function and use them if it doesn’t work with his custom scanner…
