Scanner processing top movies folders as movies names

Hi guys,

I have the following folders configuration:
/movies/YEAR-MONTH/movies_here
/movies/YEAR-MONTH/exclude/movies_here_as_well
/tv shows/adult/YEAR-MONTH/movies_here
/tv shows/adult/YEAR-MONTH/exclude/movies_here
/tv shows/kids/YEAR-MONTH/movies_here
/tv shows/kids/YEAR-MONTH/exclude/movies_here

The movies can be either in a folder named with the movie name or as a standalone file in the YEAR-MONTH folders.

The exclude folders contain movies to exclude from an rsync process that goes and rsync files from my NAS to another NAS.

Questions:
1- is there a way to inform the scanner to ignore “exclude” from being a movie/tv show name, and just process it as a movies container?
2- is there a way to inform the scanner to just scan “/tv shows” folder and ignore “adult” and “kids” keywords. Thus teating those two folders as base directories as well?

Thanks and have a nice day all,

If you are seeing anything recognized as Year-month then you are one level too high UP. You need to go down a level. Don’t be worried about having a long list defined. PMS can handle a lot (I don’t think there is an actual limit but from a practical sense don’t go overboard).

Edit your Library’s folder list to be : /movies/YEAR-MONTH/ for movies
and /tv shows/kids/YEAR-MONTH for the children’s television.

The result will be a unified Movies list and a unified Television list.
