Currently when you record a show you can only record the full show or X min before and/or after the scheduled show. I would love to expand on the idea of offset to limit the recording to a set length of time during the broadcast.
For example, I would like to record only the first hour of a 2 hour news program. The TV guide has it starting at 0700 with an ending of 0900. In offset I would be able to put in the amount of minutes to record of this broadcast. So I could put in 60 min. Plex DVR would then only record said TV Show from 0700 to 0800.
This helps with a faster dvr turn around time so I can watch the portion of the show I really want to watch and not have to wait an extra hour for the recording to finish before it is available.
