Expire date for users

Hi,

I would like to ask if it’s possible to implement on Plex server the expire date for each users. This can help the handling of the user on the libraries.

Thanks,
Alex

Users don’t expire. I’m trying to think of any specific reason why this would be of any use to anyone.
The only thing I can think of is if someone who is selling access to their server wanting to keep track of who has paid until when. Obviously no one would be doing that would they?
It would breach the Plex TOS.

Unless they have a habit of refusing to follow instructions - then they expire immediately - when I remove them manually.

That’s as ‘granular’ as that control needs to be.

Yea - there’s a million of them on Facebook.

They don’t usually show up (that we know of) to ask for features that would enhance their ability to break the terms of use. For rather obvious reasons they tend to fly NOE to avoid detection.

I have a friend that lives in a retirement home. He shares his server with several of the other residents and many of those are well past their “sell by” date and a couple have even expired on him since he started sharing with the residents.

But, I guess, that is not what the OP was talking about. :innocent: :grinning:

… and that won’t stop me from giving him a piece of my mind for leaving his unit running - and transcoding - after he so inconsiderately expired.

The nerve of some people!
