Thank you for the quick help. One more thing that is really strange is the fact that I get only four out of about 70 movie thumbs. Is there another thing in the code? I have all covers and fan art on my machine. For that matter I scrape the web by the "in working progress ofdb.de fix". Nice covers in plex - some or none with the html export. The listing ist still amazing. Thank you all for your time on this.

you can look at your ~/Library/Application Support/Plex/userdata/myvideo34.db file by using an sql client and then repeat the sql query from the script to analyze your problem. If your library is build the same way as ours there should be no problems. The thumbs are not from the plexlibrary but from the web (therefore they are not the same as your (customized) plex thumbs).
You’ll need some coding experience to analyze the script.
That sound very interesting - what sql client is suggested to do this? I really love the export feature but without the cover art (from wherever) it is not big fun.

I guess dug's problem derives from his use of a german scraper.
Würde also vorschlagen, dass du mal den Englischen ausprobierst und den Fehler damit einschränkst. SQL-Client kannst du jeden nehmen, google einfach mal.
Razor Sql is shareware and expires after somedays.
i'd say just sqlite3

I've 300+ movies and after my first run I only got 5 movies in the html file... so more or less the same issue.
I renamed the MyVideos34.db file (/Users/YOUR_USER/Library/Application Support/Plex/userdata/Database) to MyVideos34.old and started re-scraping. That seems to work :)
I've adjusted the script as where it performs the export.
Exporting to a shared NFS folder on my NAS and accessing it through the web works nicely. Strange thing is that it doesn't take the stylesheet into account. So the formatting could be better.

Hi - This is a function I've been looking for. I've installed the script and have an output, but it's not complete. I have over 300 movies and several TV shows, but it only outputs an html file with the first few (13/14) movies. The links to the other movies via Nav bar does not work. I've attached the html file for your review. I also started over with a clean library so the MyVideos34.db file is new and re-scraped.
Anything you all can see what I'm doing wrong? Thanks.
Really enjoy the way the updated scripts output, I can only really think of one suggestion.
Is there anyway that the script can check the size of the thumbnails its downloading? For TV shows if it grabs a ‘wide’ banner, it tries to scrunch it up into the dimensions of a poster. If the script could somehow be aware and make those banner length instead that’d be really nice.

Talking about this, have you ever tought of making this export thing as being an app for ipod or better ipad ?
I’ve been waiting for months for an app that downloads my plex library to my iPad so i can show friends the movie i love and discuss about
I guess this wouldn’t be to difficult to do now right ?
It’s partly possible with the app controlr but it does not save the library info, you need to be in the local network close to your Plex running to explore the database, i’m waiting for one that downloads it on the ipad, just like downloading your html file

I don’t own an iPad but I hear there is no file managment, right? This project is based on a python script which exports to a folder with the pictures and some html/css. It’s accessible via your ipad’s browser as long as you put that folder into Websites and then go to “yourmacminisip/~username/yourplexlibfolder”.
If you want that to be saved to your iPad and be accessible even when offline there propably are ways to do this. (try http://www.instapaper.com/)
You could try and make this page iPad friendlier via jQTouch but as long as I don’t own one of these devices, there is not enough motiviation to dip in.
ok what i did is to print the html file into a pdf one and transfered it on the iPad, better than nothing 
too bad i still have a lot of covers that are blanks

Is the year shown in Plex and only missing in the html output of explex? If missing in Plex as well please use the updated scraper from here: http://forums.plexapp.com/index.php?/topic/12390-get-your-updated-imdb-scraper-here/
If somebody is interested in having the directory shown in addition to the filename please say so, I changed the script and created a link leading to each of my movies, after adding my drives to the apache configuration as aliases they now are accessible via the web.
